Baleka Mbete

(born September 24, 1949), South African po litician, president of the National Assembly of South Africa from 2004 to 2008. Vice President of South Africa from 25 September 2 008 to May 9, 2009. Baleka Mbete in 1973, she graduated from teac her training colleges Lovedale Teachers College and then worked at a school in Durban. After leaving South Africa in 1976, worked as a teacher in Mbabane in Swaziland. Started the business in the African National Congress (ANC).
